Our first Weighted Walk Challenge was a huge success! Almost 100 of you took to the streets and completed your very own Weighted Walk. You carried a weighted backpack, so vulnerable young people who carry everything they own on their back, don’t have to.

Our Weighted Walkers raised just over £6000 for Depaul UK, and we can’t thank them enough.

Getting involved in the Weighted Walk Challenge is simple:

  • Choose a distance to suit your fitness level or a distance to train for.
  • Plan your walking or hiking route (drawing the route in the shape of the house can make planning it more fun!)
    Decide on a weight to carry in your backpack.
  • Spend the time leading up to the event training with your backpack weight and raising vital funds to support Depaul UK’s work with vulnerable young people across the country.

We will be there to support you with your fundraising and to make sure you have everything you need for the big day.

You’ll receive:

  • Fundraising support from our friendly team to get you ready for the walk and raising money for young people experiencing homelessness.
  • A Depaul UK event number to wear during your walk
  • A Depaul UK foldable water bottle to stay hydrated
