Simonside House is passionate about working with young people: supporting them and giving them a chance is at the heart of what we do.

One resident said: "If it wasn’t for Simonside House, I would still be on the streets with no hope. Now one year later, I have just moved into my own flat and am volunteering weekly and hoping to get a job as a chef. I am so thankful my keyworker and the staff believed in me."

Simonside House provides 13 bedrooms, shared kitchens, shower rooms and bathroom facilities.

Each room is fully furnished. Staff are available 24 hours a day, so residents feel safe and secure.

While living there, young people have a keyworker who will work together with each individual to identify goals and help develop the skills for independent living.

Simonside House also provides self-contained properties close to the project which comprise four bedsit flats and one-bedroom flats.

A lower level of support is provided - carried out by Simonside House staff.

Young people have a support plan and regular key work sessions. Gradually, they increase their independence to make progress towards achieving their goals.
