What’s the role all about?

Sheffield Dispersed Accommodation Service provides accommodation for 105 young people and young parents in properties across Sheffield.  The Senior Progression Coach will work as part of a team who are responsible for ensuring the effective and safe management of the service on a day-to-day basis.

As well as holding a small caseload of clients, you will hold line management responsibility for a number of staff, volunteers and possibly students on placement, and hold responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff in the service.

What will ideally support your success in this role?

You will have experience of:

  • Working with disadvantaged young people and knowledge/understanding of the issues homeless young people face, their support needs and how these might be met
  • Managing a team and developing effective partnerships
  • Housing management related to dispersed accommodation
