We require a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team to provide seamless and cohesive support to some of the highest need young people in the Oldham area.  You will manage a case load under the direction, guidance and support of the Senior Progression Coach.

The young people will require support to overcome multiple barriers to secure stable accommodation and meaningful employment, training and education. You will ensure the accommodation is properly maintained and assist the young people in sustaining their tenancy. You will also support with daily house keeping duties across the pathway. The role of the Progression Coach is pivotal to the successful delivery of this service as you are the key contact with the young people and link to local statutory and voluntary services.

The role will involve carrying out Depaul’s commitment to successfully deliver the contracted outcomes. The scope of the role will involve the following responsibilities:

About the Project: We are commissioned by Manchester City Council to provide accommodation and housing related support for high need young people aged 16-25 across two 24-hour staffed projects.  We work closely with voluntary and statutory agencies in Manchester to ensure we meet the needs of the young people in the most effective and appropriate way.  We work to build resilience in the young people we support and to inspire them to achieve their potential.

To be a success in this role you will have:

  • Significant experience of working with service users in the homelessness sector.

  • A broad understanding and knowledge of the benefit system and of the services available to homeless people in the area

  • Ability to use logical processes for solving problems and making decisions, with particular focus on Risk Assessment and Safeguarding
