You will have a vital role to play in helping us achieve our mission of offering homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of the service manager you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive environment, covering a number of core work activities and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients, volunteers and staff in the service at all times.

To succeed in this role you will have experience of:

  • Working with young people in the homelessness field.
  • Support planning with young people and being able to risk access their individual needs.
  • Empowering young people so they become stronger and confident in their ability to reach their true potential and face new challenges.
  • Working in a busy supported housing environment.
  • Using logical processes for solving problems and making decisions, with particular focus on Risk Assessments and Safeguarding.
  • Supporting young people to apply for employment, training, volunteering, and/or benefits.
  • Using IT systems to record support plans, action plans, risk assessments, and outcomes.
  • Working in a manner which promotes diversity and equality, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity and no one suffers from discrimination.
  • Promoting an environment which has the highest regard for the Health & Safety of others.
  • Working with personal and professional integrity and being able to demonstrate professional boundaries when working with others.
  • Being able to effectively reflect on own practices so as to further learning and personal development.
