John Ellerman Foundation
By supporting Depaul’s Head of Volunteering and Programmes, the John Ellerman Foundation is exerting a positive influence on the wellbeing and future of homeless young people.
The young people that Depaul houses and supports are often low on self-esteem and are disengaged from society. Seventy-five per cent of the young people who enter our residential projects are outside of education and employment.
Our national programmes team transforms lives by focusing on three interlocking strands: employability, creativity and health.
Volunteers are an inspiration throughout Depaul, mentoring young people, running career-focussed workshops and leading motivational activities. The programmes team supervises and trains volunteers, ensuring they are supported in all they do to help young people build their confidence and pursue their goals.
Volunteering, youth involvement and new opportunities to help young people move into training and paid work will remain key priorities at Depaul - thanks to the Foundation’s support.
