You will have a vital role to play in helping us achieve our mission of offering homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfill their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.

We require a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team to provide seamless and cohesive support to some of the highest need young people in the Oldham area. You will be responsible for responding to the needs of the young people and the service, complimenting the support of day time staff. You will do this under the direction, guidance and support of the Senior Progression Coach.
The young people will require support to overcome multiple barriers to secure stable accommodation and meaningful employment, training and education. You will ensure the accommodation is properly maintained and assist the young people in sustaining their tenancy. You will also support with daily housekeeping duties across the pathway. The role of the Night Worker is pivotal to the successful delivery of this service as you are the key contact with the young people at night time when they often find themselves lonely and isolated.
The role will involve carrying out Depaul’s commitment to successfully deliver the contracted outcomes. The scope of the role will involve the following responsibilities:

About the Project: We are commissioned by Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council to provide accommodation and housing related support for young people aged 16-25 in various types of accommodation, from a 24-hour staffed project; dispersed properties, to supported lodgings with a host family. We work closely with voluntary and statutory agencies in Oldham to meet the needs of the young people in the most effective and appropriate way.
To be a success in this role you will have:
Significant experience of working with service users in the homelessness sector.
A broad understanding and knowledge of the benefit system and of the services available to homeless people in the area
Ability to use logical processes for solving problems and making decisions, with particular focus on Risk Assessment and Safeguarding
