Depaul UK has grown its fundraising income rapidly over the last 5 years with little additional investment. With stronger voluntary income we are now looking to invest in our fundraising income streams to further strengthen the organisation and ensure more young people have a safe place to call home.
This is an excellent time to join Depaul if you are up for the challenge of leading a team that will see the most investment over the next three year period. We want to find a hard-working, strategic, innovative individual who thrives on achieving targets to take this work and the Public Fundraising team forward. Could this be you?
Depaul’s Individual Giving and Community Fundraising team have been brought together under the ‘Public Fundraising’ umbrella. As our Head of Public Fundraising you will be responsible for leading the team’s strategy and ensuring income growth is delivered in both areas with a joint income target of £1m by 2020.
Whilst their functions are currently relatively separate, the long term aim is to build strategic cross team collaborations to maximize on income from both areas – for instance by recruiting regular givers through community routes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead on the strategy design and delivery for the Public Fundraising Team at Depaul
- Lead your team to deliver a growing individual giving and community fundraising annual income target (£1m by 2020) and manage an expenditure budget of £500,000+
- Responsibility for the development and delivery of the donor acquisition strategy
- To maximise the opportunities of Depaul’s church partnerships and membership of the Vincentian family through community fundraising and partnership development
Depaul UK strives to be equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. If you require information to be sent to you in an alternative format please let us know by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or 0207 939 1250.
DEPAUL UK – Homelessness has no place
For nearly 30 years Depaul UK has met the challenges of a world where young people face the chaos and risks of being homeless. For many, the fear of sleeping rough drives a desperate and precarious cycle of surfing from sofa to sofa before coming to us. For others, the cold comfort of sleeping on a night bus or committing a crime to spend the night in custody are survival tactics to help keep them off the streets.
Depaul offers an alternative solution for these young people, by providing a safe bed for the night, and the support they need to help them progress beyond homelessness.
Our 250+ staff and 250 volunteers help over 3,500 young homeless people every year, and we hope you will join us in making a difference to young people who have nowhere to call home.
An enhanced DBS disclosure is a requirement for this post. Our recruitment checks, induction and ongoing support and supervision reflect our commitment to safeguarding our clients.
